Ionone Beta has a powdery-floral character, greener and fresher than the alpha variety. Its scent evokes violets, but in a lighter, more transparent form, with delicate woody and fruity notes. In perfumery it is used to add elegance and radiance to floral compositions, especially those with violet in the leading role.
